2002 Our Times, Our Voices, Our Visions
Being tired of the "old same stuff," VISION collaborated with Arlington, H.S.'s VOICE in 2002 to host the "Our Times, Our Voices, Our Vision's" event. During this event, local artists, writers, dancers, and singers were features. Featured artists included, animator Kenneth Vang, dance performers Bucket of Rice, guitarist Phillip Yang, singer Eve Vang, writer Mai Neng Moua, and a 20 minute skit by VOICE.
During this event, VISION hosted their first "Drag" show. The show included talent performance, an evening gown interview, and the crowning. The contestants wooed the audience in many performances including: lip-syncing, traditional Hmong/Thai dancing, Hmong Chinese dancing/singing, and singing love songs. The night ended with the Tou Fue Yang winning the crown.
